Acting gov Jobe lauds Tinubu over appointments of Katsina’s sons into key federal positions

The acting governor of Katsina state, Alhaji Farouk Lawal Jobe, has praised President Bola Tinubu for appointing four distinguished individuals from Katsina into federal positions.

A press statement by the directorate of media, Government House, Katsina, which was available to the press in Katsina, said that the Acting Governor commended President Tinubu for acknowledging the wealth of experience and leadership acumen that these appointees bring to their respective roles.

The Nation reported that Aminu Bello Masari was appointed as the Chairman of the Board of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund).

Alhaji Kabir Ibrahim Mashi was named as the Federal Commissioner of the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), Abdullahi Alhassan Imam was appointed as the Programme Manager of the National Cash Transfer Office, and Dr. Badamasi Lawal Charanci was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA).

On Alhaji Masari’s appointment, Malam Jobe noted, “Alhaji Masari’s journey from Commissioner for Works, Housing and Transport in Katsina State to Speaker of the Nigerian House of Representatives, and his recent tenure as the two-term Governor of Katsina State, speaks volumes about his capacity to lead and innovate. His academic accolades and international recognitions further affirm his status as a leader of global repute.”

Speaking on Alhaji Kabir Ibrahim Mashi’s appointment, Acting Governor Jobe highlighted his previous role as the Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), stating, “Alhaji Mashi’s experience in revenue mobilization will be invaluable in his new role at RMAFC.”

On Mr. Abdullahi Alhassan Imam’s appointment, Malam Jobe said: “Mr. Imam’s background in accountancy and his experience as a chief accountant and bank manager equip him well for his new role in the National Cash Transfer Office

On Badamasi Lawal, he described him as an esteemed son of Katsina State, who brings to this crucial national role a wealth of experience and an inspiring academic background.

 He said: ‘’As an Associate Professor of Health Education with a Ph.D. from Bayero University, Kano, Dr. Lawal has demonstrated exceptional scholarship throughout his academic sojourn, earning accolades such as best graduating student awards at various levels of his education’’.

“I am confident that under the leadership of these distinguished gentlemen, their respective offices will reach new heights in their missions. Their vast experiences and deep understanding of their sectors will drive positive change and innovation in these critical institutions.”

Malam Jobe equally noted that the Government of Katsina State stands ready to support these appointees in their new national assignments.

He said: “We believe these appointments will not only benefit our great nation but will also inspire more sons and daughters of Katsina State to aim for excellence in public service.”
