Kalu to Shettima at 58: You are advocate of peace, development

Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Hon. Benjamin Kalu, has described Vice President Kashim Shettima as an advocate of peace and development.

In a statement signed by his chief press secretary, Levinus Nwabughiogu, on his 58th birthday, Kalu also described Shettima as a patriot who loves Nigeria and has made invaluable contributions to its development.

He recalled that in the most challenging years of insurgency in the North East, the vice president as a former governor of Borno State stood firm in his resolve to combat insecurity and terrorism.

The deputy speaker said further that as a Senator who represented Borno Central from 2019 to 2023, Shettima made several legislative interventions that helped to improve the lives of his immediate constituents and Nigerians in general.

Kalu said the vice president is delivering on the mandate of his present office, describing himself as an advocate of peace.

While praying to God for the blessing of many more years in good health, Kalu joined numerous friends of the vice president and indeed, the rest of the country in wishing Vice President Shettima a splendid birthday celebration.
