The tournament is aimed at availing the players a platform to showcase their talents and engage them positively there by taking their minds of social vices, and ultimately discovering and nurturing young footballers who will become worthy ambassadors for Lagos State and Nigeria.

The 57 clubs will play in the league format preliminaries to produce the best 8 for the quarter, semi, and final that will be played at the Campos Mini Stadium Lagos Island.

Organiser of the championship Samuel Abikoye said the tournament is also to honor President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his immense contributions towards the growth of sports in Nigeria.
