The Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi; the Olu of Igboora, Oba Jimoh Titiloye; the Sabigana of Igana, Oba Saliu Oyemola Azeez; the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin; the Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye; the Okere of Saki, Oba Khalid Olabisi; and the Chairman of the Governing Council of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Prof. Siyan Oyewole, are among the dignitaries expected at the Supreme Forum of Yoruba Youth’s annual lecture.
Scheduled for Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at the National Museum of Unity, Aleshinloye, Ibadan, the lecture is themed: “Rejuvenation of Yoruba Culture for Economic Upliftment of the People.”
The event, organized by the Supreme Forum of Yoruba Youth under the leadership of its President, Otunba Oluwafemi Awogboro, will also feature the Elerinmo of Erinmo, Oba Dr. Michael Odunayo Ajayi; the Oranmiyan of Oko land, Oba Solomon Akiola Oyeyode; and the Ojurin of Ojurin Kingdom, Oba Joachim Adeyemi Afolabi, among other notable figures.
Additional high-profile attendees include the Iyaloja General of Nigeria and daughter of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Chief Mrs. Folashade Tinubu-Ojo; the Minister for Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu; the Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Zaccheus Adedeji; Aya’ba Sulat Adeyemi, a prominent wife of the late Alaafin of Oyo; Oyo State Police Commissioner, Amb. Romoke Ayinde; and renowned media personality, Yemi Sonde.
The annual lecture, a signature initiative of the Supreme Forum of Yoruba Youth, aims to foster the advancement and well-being of Yoruba youth.
