Police arrest 16 kidnappers in Edo Central, as Okpebholo orders demolition of houses

Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has directed the police and other security agencies to immediately demolish all houses linked to the sixteen kidnappers that were arrested in Edo Central Senatorial District.

Our reporter yesterday gathered from a police source that Okpebholo’s directive to the security agencies mandated that all the hideouts of kidnappers and other criminal gangs should continually be raided, while prosecution of the suspects would commence immediately.

Edo governor, who hailed the efforts of the security agencies, was quoted as stating that the action would serve as a deterrent to other criminals operating in the state.

Okpebholo declared that the activities of cultists, kidnappers, armed robbers, and other criminals would not be tolerated under his watch.

Edo governor said: “Criminals terrorising Edo State will have no place to hide, as security operatives have been empowered to fish them out wherever they are. We have purchased 75 Toyota Hilux vans for the security of our people.
