Rep member dumps NNPP for APC

The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) on Thursday lost one of its members in the House of Representatives to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Yusuf Shittu Galambi representing Gwaram Federal Constituency of Jigawa State become the first NNPP member in the House to join the ruling APC.

This bring to about 11 members of the opposition parties in the House that have joined the APC in the last six months.

Galambi based his decision to leave the NNPP on what he described as lingering crisis in the NNPP leading to litigations and leadership crisis that have continued to affect the operation of the party.

He said his constituents asked him to leave the NNPP and join the APC because of their disenchantment with the leadership of the party.

The NNPP has been factionalised with the founding fathers of the party who have been expelled, laying claim to the leadership.

But those loyal to the former Kano Governor, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwakwanso also holf on to the leaders of the party.
