President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed sorrow over the passing of Alhaji Haruna Maiyasin Katsina, the Sarkin Sasa and Chairman of the Council of Arewa Traditional Leaders in the 17 southern states.
Sarkin Sasa passed away at the weekend at Sasa in Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo State.
He was 125.

In a statement yesterday in Abuja by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu described the late traditional leader’s death as a great loss to the nation.
He acknowledged Alhaji Maiyasin’s significant contributions to fostering peace and unity among Nigerians.
The President extended his condolences to the Sarkin Sasa family, the people and governments of Oyo and Katsina states, as well as the leaders of Arewa communities across the southern region.
