Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has constituted a visitation panel to review the financial management of the University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo.
The panel will be chaired by Prof. Gbenga Olumekun, with Elder Idowu Benjamin, Mr. Olumide Ogidan, Mr. Anthony Akala, and Mr. Richard Adeyinka Arifalo (Secretary) as members.
According to a statement by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, the panel will also assess the university’s compliance with its statutes and approved academic programs.
Additionally, Governor Aiyedatiwa has approved the appointment of Prof. Ebuoluwa Aderonke Adejuyigbe as the new Vice Chancellor of UNIMED, following the expiration of Prof. Adesegun Fatusi’s tenure.

Professor Adejuyigbe, a Professor of Paediatrics, hails from Akoko North East local government area of the State. She is the current Executive Director of the Central Office of Research of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife and a Consultant Paediatician at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital.
Prof. Adejuyigbe is expected to assume office as the VC after the submission of the report of the Visitation Panel.
Deputy Vice Chancellor, Administration and Clinical Services, Prof. Adolphus Odogun Loto, according to the statement, was directed to take charge as Acting Vice Chancellor pending the assumption of office of the newly appointed VC.
