Tinubu, Buhari, governors mourn  Katsina governor’s mother

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended heartfelt condolences to the Governor of Katsina State, Dr. Dikko Umaru Radda, on the passing of his mother, Hajiya Safara’u Umaru Baribari.

The late matriarch, who died at 93, passed away on Saturday night.

In a statement by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu described Hajiya Safara’u as a woman who nurtured generations of leaders who went on to excel in various fields.

He noted that her life was marked by integrity and a deep commitment to serving others, values that have influenced many far beyond her immediate community.

Former President Muhammadu Buhari also expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Hajiya Baribari.

In a statement, Mallam Garba Shehu, Buhari described the loss of a mother as an immeasurable sorrow, regardless of one’s status in life.

“It is with profound sadness that I convey my deepest sympathies for the passing of your beloved mother, Hajiya Safara’u.

“No matter how big a person becomes, they need their mother.

“The thoughts and prayers of my family are with you and your family during this difficult period as we remember her life and service to women and the community at large,” Buhari said in his message to the governor.

The Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) commiserated with its Radda on the death of his mother.

In a statement, the Forum celebrated the life of service, devotion, and dignity that Hajiya led.
