The world today is filled with many talented creators and musicians alike, everyone with different paths and choices.

Winny Ezeme stands apart in a world where many artists chase mainstream fame, anchoring her career in gospel music with a mission to touch souls. Born on April 21, 1997, in Udenu, Enugu State, this emerging Nigerian gospel artist sees her music as a sacred calling, not just a profession. Since committing to gospel in 2013, Winny has woven her faith into every note, aiming to inspire hope and reflect divine purpose.

“My music is a vessel for healing and connection,” Winny explains. “Gospel isn’t just what I do, it’s who I am.”

Her journey began in the choir at Platform of Grace Church, where she spent a decade honing her craft and discovering the spiritual weight of song. “Singing in the choir taught me that music can be a bridge to worship,” she reflects. While other paths tempted, her conviction kept her rooted in gospel.

Winny’s academic journey from L.E.A Primary School in Abuja to Oxford Secondary School in Obollo Afor, and later the University of Nigeria, Nsukka instilled resilience and focus. Yet, it was her faith that truly shaped her trajectory. A pivotal moment came when a friend’s WhatsApp message nudged her toward Gospel Icons Africa. Though initially unsure, she auditioned, clinching first place, a ₦10 million prize, a car, and a recording deal with M&E Music Company. This victory propelled her into a purposeful new phase of her career.

Inspired by gospel giants like Sinach, Mercy Chinwo, and Nathaniel Bassey, Winny aspires to carry the same anointing in her work. “Their music shows me what it means to move hearts for God,” she says. While collaborations are on her horizon, her priority remains steadfast: staying true to her divine assignment.

With her sights set on global impact, Winny dreams of leading worship worldwide and creating songs that resonate deeply. “In five years, I want to reach hearts God calls me to,” she shares. “Expect sounds that carry depth, authenticity, and His presence.”
