In a decisive and united political declaration, all National Assembly members representing Katsina State under the banner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have officially endorsed Governor Umar Dikko Radda for a second term in office, setting the tone early for the 2027 electoral contest.
The endorsement, which signals a major boost to Governor Radda’s re-election prospects, was announced during a special caucus meeting of federal lawmakers from the state.
Speaking on behalf of the House of Representatives members, Honourable Sada Soli (Jibia/Kaita Federal Constituency) said the decision was unanimous and reflective of both the lawmakers’ confidence in the governor’s leadership and the feedback from their constituents.
“This endorsement is not just a political gesture. It is rooted in our joint evaluation of Governor Radda’s performance and the strong sentiment from the people of Katsina, who continue to express satisfaction with his administration. His leadership has been purposeful, inclusive, and result-oriented”, Hon. Soli said.
The lawmakers praised Governor Radda’s strides in multiple sectors, singling out his efforts in improving security, reforming the education system, supporting agriculture, encouraging enterprise development, and deepening community engagement.

Backing the motion on behalf of the Senate, Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’adua (Katsina Central) confirmed that all three senators from the state were fully aligned with their House colleagues in supporting Governor Radda’s re-election.
“We are speaking with one voice. As senators of the Federal Republic representing Katsina, we are proud to endorse Governor Radda as the sole APC candidate for the 2027 governorship election”, Senator Yar’adua declared.
The collective pledge of loyalty and support from Katsina’s entire federal delegation marks a rare and powerful show of political cohesion.
The lawmakers urged all citizens of Katsina State to rally behind Governor Radda’s bid for continuity, emphasising that the gains of the current administration must not be interrupted.
