President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended warm felicitations to renowned industrialist and business icon, Chief Oyin Jolayemi, on the occasion of his 85th birthday.
In a statement issued on Wednesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President lauded Jolayemi’s remarkable contributions to Nigeria’s economic growth and development, describing his life as an inspiring “grass-to-grace” story that resonates with values of determination and resilience.
“President Tinubu highlights Jolayemi’s grass-to-grace story and eventual rise to the zenith. He says his life is a testament to hard work, industry, and resilience that the younger generations should emulate”, the statement read.
Chief Jolayemi, the founder and chairman of the indigenous conglomerate, Daily Need Group of Companies, hails from Iludun Oro in Kwara State.

He moved to Lagos at the age of 13, driven solely by a determination to succeed — a quality that eventually propelled him to become a household name in Nigeria’s business landscape.
President Tinubu commended Jolayemi’s long-standing commitment to Nigeria’s economic transformation, particularly through his efforts in job creation and youth empowerment.
“The President commends Jolayemi’s commitment and contributions to Nigeria’s economic development, including his efforts to provide employment opportunities to young people and his belief in the country’s renaissance,” the statement noted.
The President further wished the octogenarian continued success in his business ventures and divine blessings in his future pursuits.
