Waste managers march in support of council chief, vice

Association of Waste Managers of Nigeria (AWAM) in Ifako Ijaiye Local Government in Lagos State has endorsed the Chairman, Usman Hamzat, for a second term in office.

This decision reflects confidence in the chairman’s leadership, track record, and commitment to grassroots development in Ifako Ijaiye.

Under his watch, the council has witnessed progress in infrastructure, youth empowerment, improved healthcare delivery, and governance.

The endorsement signals a shared belief among stakeholders that continuity in leadership will consolidate the gains in his first term and propel the council to greater heights.

As early as 8 am on June 24, compactors and workers of about 200 members of AWAM, (PSP Waste Operators), were positioned in Iju-Ishaga round about in Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government.

Huge crowds, including residents, gathered and joined in the rally as the float goes by.

This, without doubt, is a great achievement. A clean local government is a healthy local government, and health is wealth as cleanliness is next to godliness.

“The synergy between the chairman and PSP operatives is occasioned by the enabling environment created for waste managers to thrive; we enjoin the people to vote him for a better and cleaner environment,’’
