Nigeria lost a hero, but his legacy shall endure, says Wamakko

A former Sokoto State governor and leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Aliyu Wamakko, said Nigeria has lost a hero, whose legacy shall endure.

I a statement he personally signed, Wamakko expressed shock and deep sorrow on the death of the Daura born former Nigeria’s President.

He described him as one of its most iconic and selfless leaders — an incorruptible patriot, a disciplined statesman, and a symbol of integrity who dedicated his entire life to the service of the nation with honour, courage, and unshakable commitment.

The lawmaker said that the late Buhari stood tall as a beacon of hope, discipline, and forthrightness in national leadership, noting that his unwavering resolve to tackle corruption, his passion for infrastructural rebirth, his investment in agricultural revival, and his strides in security sector reforms will remain etched in the annals of Nigeria’s national history.
