PWDs console family, eulogises Buhari for disablity law

Muslim Association of Visually Impaired of Nigeria (MAVIN) has condoled with the Federal Government and Nigerians on the passing of former President Muhammadu Buhari.

It said in a statement, ‘‘we pray Allah grants him Jannatul Firdaus and comforts his family, friends, and nation’’.

‘The former President will be remembered by our community for signing the Disability Rights Bill into law. This is a turning point in the recognition, protection, and empowerment of persons with disabilities, the statement noted.

Continuing, the association said: ‘‘This brought hope to millions with disabilities and laid a foundation upon which leaders can build. We appreciate this legacy, which aligns with our vision of dignity, inclusion, and productivity for the visually impaired.’’

‘‘His records in his military and political career, character stability of honesty, transparency, and patriotism is a shining light and exemplary model for leaders and citizens.

‘‘Our thoughts and prayers are with Nigerians, and we pray that Allah grants Nigeria peace, progress, stability, and visionary leadership.

‘‘As Buhari is laid to rest, we pray Allah forgives his shortcomings, accepts his good deeds, and grants him Al-Jannatul Firdaus. We ask Allah to strengthen and console his family, grant it patience, and give Nigeria unity, peace, and prosperity, the statement said.
