The Chairman of Eti-Osa East Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Biliaminu Agunbiade, has said his administration will continue to be transparent in its operations in a bid to make life easier for residents.
Agunbiade stated this at a Stakeholders’ Meeting on the 2026 Budget held at the Council’s Secretariat.
He said: “There must be transparency and this government is a transparent government. That is what I assure my people.”
He a urged residents to pay their taxes promptly to enable the council deliver more developmental projects.
“When you pay your taxes, it gives us the morale and resources to perform better. This is a transparent government, and we will not relent in putting smiles on the faces of our people,” he said
He reeled out his administration’s achievement so far in education, infrastructure, healthcare and youth empowerment.
He said his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance, transparency and grassroots development necessitated the event.

“This gathering is not just a statutory exercise; it is part of our democratic commitment to participatory governance and accountability. We are here to listen to your contributions and ensure that the 2026 budget reflects the true aspirations of our communities, Transparency, accountability, and inclusiveness will continue to guide every stage of our budgeting process.”
Lekki Estate Resident and Stakeholders Association President, Sulaiman Kolawole, while lauding the chairman achievements within his first 100 days in office, urged him to provide more social infrastructures lacking in the council.
“We are impressed with what he has done so far. We have also highlighted some areas we want him to look into including roads, healthcare facilities, and police stations and we are confident he will deliver,” he said.
