The Onise of Iseland in the Lekki Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, Oba Ganiyu Adebowale Adegbesan (Omuni Ogbongbologun, Shebitan lll) has marked his 25th coronation anniversary cum 90th birthday with pomp and circumstance.
The anniversary which lasted three days started on 27th of November 2025 with the installation of indigenes of the town as chiefs at the palace. Among the recipients were the former chairman of the Al Progressives Congress (APC), Lagos State chapter, Chief Henry Ajomale, who was installed as the Baba Oba of Iseland while ace tourism promoter and founder of La Campagne Tropicana Beach Resort, Lagos, Wanle Akinboboye was installed as the Bobagunwa of Iseland . Major General Suleiman Aliyu (retired) was installed as the Akogun of Iseland.
The Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Works, Mr. Adekunle Olayinka, Chairman of Isolo LCDA, Bayo Olasoju and his Ejigbo LCDA counterpart, Taoheed Taiwo hailed Oba Adegbesan for honouring Ajomale with the chieftaincy title.
Oba Adegbesan appreciated the contributions of the newly installed chiefs towards the progress of the community, urging them to do more for the town.

The Aremo Onise, Prince Akeem Adekunle thanked everyone at the event for their steadfastness and prayed that God should grand them their heart desires.
The monarch also celebrated his 61st wedding anniversary with his wife, Olori Tasiliat Abiodun Adegbesan on November 28. The ceremony was attended by the Onibeju of Ibejuland, Oba Waliu Olasunkanmi Rasaq , who was the father of the day and event and the monarch-elect of Imedu, Prince Salisu Ibrahim.
