Newly elected Chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Alhaji Mohammad Kirowa, who is also the Sarikin Fulani Zuru in Kebbi State, has said that arrangements have been concluded to appoint the Emir of Argungu in Kebbi State, Alhaji Mohammed Ismaila Mera as the chairman of the committee that would end the crisis between Fulani and Farmers across the country.
He disclosed this yesterday in Argungun, Kebbi State during a visit to the Emir of Arugungu by the commitee. The committee had paid a condolence visit to the Emir over the death of a staunch politician from the town, the late Hassan Kangiwa.
Kiruwa added that the Emir was the only person who would used his wisdom and position to assist in the Fulani/Farmers feud across the country.
He described the emir as a leader who has all the potentials and talents to address the issues and bring peace back to those communities that were involved in the crisis in most parts of the country.
He pointed out that throughout his tour round the country as the National Chairman, it is only Argungu emirate that has not recorded any cases of Fulani/ farmers’ crises, he therefore commended the monarch for making peace a must in his domain.
In his remark, the emir of Argungu assured the committee of his support to ensure that the Fulani/farmers clashes become a thing of the past. The monarch also urged them to enroll their children in western education and also live in peace with one another.
