Kuramo conference marks Earth Day

AS part of the Kuramo Conference Series, a one-day colloquium to mark the 2015 Earth Day will hold on Wednesday at the Metropolitan Club, Lagos, with the theme: Earth day: Solutions for a sustainable future.

It is organised by the Resource Initiative and Solutions Network Nigeria (RISNN), a global solutions initiative, as part of the proposed Sustainability School Lagos in partnership with Arizona State University and Kuramo Conferences.

Speakers include Dr. Beatte Kummer of the Scholz Group; Head of Energy and Environment Desk of the Nigerian Delegation of German Industry and Commerce Ms. Baerbel Freyer; Managing Director of the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) Mr. Ola Oresanya and Sir Chris Ogbechie of the Pan-Atlantic University. Chief O. Osunkeye will chair the event.

The colloquium is supported by The Kuramo Report (TKR) publication and CLRN publishing Ltd.

“RISN Nigeria will facilitate multi-stakeholder processes to aid in the transformation of Nigeria’s solid waste system into a circular material management system, thus serving as an entry point into addressing many( of our social and environmental challenges, while catalysing new economic development,” the organisers said in a statement. “
