Heartland captain and right-back, Chinedu Efugh has vowed that his side will amend the huge setback against Sunshine Stars at Oriental neighbours, Enugu Rangers.
The Naze Millionaires will be the guests of the Flying Antelopes in the Glo Premier League match day 8 clash on Sunday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu.
Both sides fared badly in the last game with the hosts, Rangers whipped 2-4 in Bauchi by newcomers Wikki Tourists, while the visitors, Heartland were humiliated 0-3 by Sunshine Stars on home ground.
Efugh said his side are condemned to grind out a heartwarming result at Enugu Rangers, no matter the difficulties.
“Pressure is quite high right now, not only on the coach but on everybody to get the team back on the path of victory once again.
“After the 0-3 home loss to Sunshine Stars, we’re finding it difficult to work freely in and around Owerri without the jeers and mockery of the fans.
“The disgrace is too heavy on us that if need be we’re ready to spill blood to get either the three points or a point at Rangers.
“Of course, we all know the implication of another bad result in Enugu, and nobody is willing to receive further taunting from the supporters.
“Everybody is committed towards making the Sunday clash at Rangers a happy ending one that will further boost our confidence in subsequent matches.
“We’ve been working extremely hard on the lapses noted in the last match to ensure we get everything perfectly right,” said the former Enugu Rangers captain and strongman to supersport.com.
Heartland are fifth on the log on 12 points from possible a 21 in the seven-week-old Nigerian top flight.
