As the debate over the likely successors to outgoing FIFA President Sepp Blatter continues to raise talking points, former FIFA and CAF executive member Dr. Amos Adamu has thrown his hat in for an African candidate.
Adamu in an exclusive interview with www.footballlive.ng suggests that current CAF Boss, Issa Hayatou will not be the most interested candidate for the position.
“Issa is a good candidate too and has been there for sometimes. He’s given Blatter support; Africa has done so too, and if an African goes in I think that candidacy should get supported, but whether that candidate will be Issa (Hayatou) am not sure he’ll be interested in the position,” the former head of the National Sports Commission (NSC) said.
