Sunshine back on top after late Udoh strike

Kingsley Udoh was Sunshine Stars hero as he scored the winner in the concluding minutes to beat Warri Wolves 2-1 in Akure on Thursday in a Nigeria league Week 12  game and send the Akure Gunners back to the league summit.

Warri Wolves without skipper Azubuike Egwuekwe and Gbolahan Salami almost secured a point but lost concentration when it mattered most and they were punished by Sunshine Stars.

Sunshine Stars now have 23 points from 12 games.

The visitors Warri Wolves broke the deadlock in the 12th minute, when Beach Eagles star Bartholomew Ibenegbu Ikechukwu capitalised on poor defending to score.

In the 28th minute,Eze Stephen leveled scores for Sunshine when he headed in Prince Aggrey corner kick.

Defender Kingsley Udoh scored the winner in the added time.

Sunshine goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa was replaced with Danladi Isah due to injury in the 76th minute.

Wolves captain of the day Oke Ogagotewho was sent off for a second booking in the added minute of the game.
