Boboye gets plaudit for Sunshine display

Acting technical director of the Ondo State Football Agency, Henry Abiodun, has applauded Sunshine Stars gaffer, Kennedy Boboye, for his emergence as winner of the League Bloggers Award (LBA) Manager for the month of May.

Boboye was on Tuesday named winner of the influential LBA for the first time after leading the Akure side to record impressive results in the month under review.

Sunshine Stars were undefeated in May and picked four points during road trips at Heartland and Nasarawa United including a 3-0 victory over the Owerri side.

“I’m very happy for my hardworking coach, Boboye. We’ve been working together to ensure the team maintains its good form this term. It’s a good feat,” Abiodun said to supersport.com.

Abiodun equally saluted Boboye’s assistants, who have contributed their quota to the success of the team.

“This is the result of collective responsibility. The backroom staff has also done well because football is team work,” the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) licensed manager told supersport.com.

Abiodun, at present, supervises all Ondo State teams in the league including amateur sides: Rising Stars (Ondo Town), Rising Sun (Ikare), Rising Tornadoes (Okitipupa) as well as the women’s team, Sunshine Queens.
