Abducted Delta polytechnic lecturer, Ozoro, Mr. Chike Gbemudu has been released after two weeks of kidnapped.
Gbemudu was kidnapped at the early hours of July 3, 2015 at his residence in the Ozoro metropolis.
It could be recalled that the kidnappers had demanded a N20 million ransom fee for his release.
A source in the institution has revealed that Gbemudu was released on Wednesday, said he was receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital.
He said, “A certain amount of money was paid to the kidnappers as ransom but I cannot say precisely how much was paid. The good thing is that he has been released and we thank God that for keeping him alive.”
Contacted, Police Public Relations Officer of the state police command, Celestina Kalu confirmed that Gbemudu had been released.
