Security operatives have killed some bandits in Maiha council area of Adamawa State, and recovered 11 rocket launchers.
The bandits reportedly came from Zamfara State.
Senior Special Assistant to the Maiha council chair on Media and Publicity, Abdulganiyu Pakka, said in a statement yesterday that three grenades were also recovered from the bandits.
He said the operatives rounded up the hoodlums in some Maiha villages.

The council chair Dr Idi Ali said the security operatives comprised military personnel and local hunters.
“I thank God that the combined team of military and our local hunters have been able to kill bandits who fled Zamfara to our state.
“We received credible information that the bandits had established a new camp in our forest here. We did not waste time, so we informed the military and also mobilised our local hunters who swooped on them and killed all of them.”
Spokesman of 23 Armoured Brigade in Yola, Major Sani Mohammed said “I am aware of a clearance operation but I do not yet know about the outcome.”
