ANY company or individual truck owner in Ogun State, who fails to comply with the haulage commercial vehicle law, will be sanctioned.
The Director of Geological Services in the state Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Steve Ipinniwa, gave the warning during the enforcement tour of the agency to some private organisations operating in Ota and its environs.
He said the ministry’s officials have started full implementation of the enforcement of the provision of the state’s “Commercial Vehicle (Haulage Fee) Amendment Law of 2013”.
Ipinniwa said the administration was worried by the unwholesome activities of commercial vehicles operating for private organisations in the state.
He pointed out that the Ministry of Commerce and Industry has been empowered to ensure that relevant stakeholders and concerned agencies work in tandem with the government to come up with measures to halt the illegal acts.
