Troops intercept 370 rounds of ammunition

Troops of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) on Thursday intercepted two suspects with 370 rounds of ammunition in Plateau State.

The ammunition concealed in a Toyota Pathfinder vehicle was discovered at a military checkpoint in the Barkin Ladi area of the state.

A police sergeant, Azi Jonathan, 30, who was driving the vehicle, and Nengak Daniel, 60, were intercepted during a stop and search operation.

One of the suspects was killed while the other was handed over to the police, it was said.
