Ekeji, Ubah hail Dikko on Nigerian league

The Chairman of the League Management Committee has been commended for turning the fortunes of the league around since the time he was appointed as the League boss.

Two prominent Nigerians: the former Director General of the National Sports Commission (NSC) Dr. Patrick Ekeji and oil magnate, Dr. Ifeanyi Patrick Ubah showered encomiums on Dikko for his excellent job so far in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

” I am very pleased to see Alhaji  Shehu Dikko’s emergence this time around  as the Chairman of the League Management Company (LMC).

“I want to support vividly what the new Patron of the Nigeria Nationwide League 1, Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah said about Shehu Dikko that it was because of people like him is well versed in football management and promotion that made him to accept being the Patron of the lower league that has 165 clubs,  the largest in Africa.

“I remember when I was still in office (as the Director General of the National Sports Commission) there was the contest for the Chairmanship of the Nigeria Premier League then. So when the then Secretary General of the Nigeria Football Federation came to me with the resumes of contestants.

“So when I saw the resume of Alhaji Shehu Dikko I was convinced that the best person that should take that job is Shehu Dikko”.

The erstwhile DG of the NSC praised the LMC for gradually  bringing the lost glories back to Nigerian leagues. He added that the league has transformed for teams to beat home teams and no violence recorded.

The Capital Oil Chairman, Ifeanyi Uba said openly that he wouldn’t have accepted to be Nigeria Nationwide League 1 Patron if not for the involvement of Dikko in Nigerian League.
