Former Nigeria junior international, Macauley Chrisantus netted his second goal of the season as AEK Athens beat Xanthi in Group G of the Greek Cup on Wednesday afternoon at the SKODA Xanthi Arena (Pigadia).
The ex U-17’s goal in the 51st minute was crucial as it was the only goal of the game to secure victory for the capital side.
Fifteen minutes from time, Chrisantus, who played the full game, missed a glorious opportunity to double his team’s advantage.
AEK Athens tackle Panelefsiniakos on December 1 in their next game before facing Larissa two weeks later.
