Robbers shoot man, cart away money

A yet-to-be identified man was on Thursday shot by an armed gang who dispossessed him of his money in Victoria Island, Lagos.

The four- man gang, which rode on motorcycles, reportedly shot the young man for refusing to handover an envelope containing money.

The Nation gathered that the victim had withdrawn some money from a nearby Zenith bank, after which he entered a Guarantee Trust Bank branch in the area.

He was said to have stopped by a recharge card vendor where he bought voucher before stopping a tricycle.

But the criminals who must have trailed him, shot him on the leg for refusing to handover the envelop.

The victim’s blood littered the ground, while his attackers fled the scene in broad day light.
