Nigeria’s Super Eagles Assistant Coach, Salisu Yusuf has said the CHAN Eagles’ camp is bubbling and players have turned up in good shape as the first phase of preparation for the 2016 African Nations Championship is underway.
Wednesday marks the team’s second day in camp and Yusuf, who is standing in for Head Coach, Sunday Oliseh is confident the the fitness programme has helped the players shake off any rustiness from the long break after the end of the 2015 League season.
‘ The players reported to camp rearing to go and their fitness level is impressive, which only tells me they were religious with the programme we gave each one. I can only assume with this level of focus the players have shown, we can be hopeful of a good outing at the CHAN.’
Meanwhile, Salisu also told footballlive.ng the focus of the team remains to excel at the competition next year.
