Ikorodu Utd won’t miss Cooreman, says Gbajumo

Newly promoted Ikorodu FC are already planning for successive seasons in the top flight despite losing their gaffer, Maurice Cooreman, who joined CAF Confederation Cup bound Akwa United and they say he’ll not be missed.

In a chat with footballlive.ng team Manager of the Lagos-based club, Dele Gbajumo reiterated the objective of defending the club’s top flight status beyond the 2016 season by recruiting and building a formidable team.

“We have moved on since Maurice Cooreman left, he did a lot for the club and we can only thank him for his services and wish him well.

“So we’re focused on the objective at hand which is to ensure we play in the topflight beyond 2016. We know there is a gulf of difference between the NPFL and where we are coming from but it is a task we are more than capable of taking on. We’ll set up a squad that will give all comers a run fro their money,” he said.
