German promotional outfit Sauerland Event has confirmed that Dereck Chisora (24-5, 16 KOs) will have one more fight before his proposed European heavyweight title clash.
Chisora, who signed with Sauerland after being released from his contract by previous promoter Frank Warren last November, will appear tonight (January 9) on the undercard of the WBA World super middleweight title fight between Vincent Feigenbutz and Giovanni De Caroli in Offenburg, Germany, a rematch from their October 2015 contest.
A win against the opponent still to be announced will lead Chisora, 32, into a rematch with ‘The Nordic Nightmare’ Robert Helenius for the European title.
Purse bids for Helenius vs. Chisora 2 are due for January 21 with Sauerland expecting the fight to take place sometime in March of April.
