The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau State has rejected the results of the rerun in Plateau South Constituency, held on Saturday.
The Chairman, Mr. Raymond Dabo, in a statement in Jos yesterday, said the rejection of the result was based on irregularities, which characterised the election.
He said: “PDP does not only reject the results, they should be cancelled because they do not reflect what transpired at the polls.
“Our candidate, Istifanus Muansat, was denied access to the polling unit. Our agents were chased out. I was not allowed to come near the polling units, but the All Progressives Congress (APC) members and agents went in and manipulated the poll.
“APC thugs drove me away. It was impunity by the APC government and a show of power because the deputy governor was allowed to be there, but PDP members were not allowed.”
