The publisher of ‘The 14 Journalists, Kidnap Saga’, Victory Nwaeze has condemned the kidnap of three students at Ikorodu area of Lagos state.

The Delta state based author, who is also a journalist, made the condemnation on Thursday, during a media chat with Newsmen.

While calling for intense investigation for the rescue of the abducted students as well as ensuring that the kidnappers are brought to book, Nwaeze stressed that not much is done to tackle the menace of kidnapping in Nigeria despite that most states in the country have harsh punishment for kidnappers.

She lauded the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) for rescuing Ese Oruru and uniting her with her family and quipped that the families of the three students will want same for their daughters.

According to her, the country will be safer if kidnappers were punished for their crimes adding that she hopes the kidnappers of 14 Journalists at Oporoza in Gbaramatu a few years, are brought to book for the crime.
