President Muhammadu Buhari has again assured Nigerian youths that his administration is determined to make huge investments in them.
He said: “Government is aware of the numerous challenges confronting the NYSC such as corps rejection, infrastructure deficit at the orientation camps, dwindling resource allocation and so on. I have been informed that these problems have persisted unabated due to monumental growth in graduate population and inadequate corresponding resource provisions.
“These seemingly intimidating obstacles should not dampen your zeal to make a desired sacrifice to serve your fatherland as government is prepared to address these problems.”
The president who spoke in Lagos at the swearing – in ceremony of the Batch A double- stream orientation course explained that the state of the nation is not a cheering news as he said one of the disturbing problems inherited by the administration is increasing unemployment amongst the young people.
Represented by the Commissioner, Ministry of Special Duties, Lagos State, Mr Oluseye Oladejo, the president said the scheme has demonstrated it’s ability to remain relevant in the life cycle of the nation.
