The Nigerian Army has confirmed the arrest of a suspected killer of the first General Officer Commanding, Nigerian Army 1 Division, Major Gen. Mohammed Shuwa.
The Army Acting Director of Public Relations, Sani Usman, said officials of Nigerian military intelligence arrested the suspected killer of the army officer.
Usman said the suspect would be paraded before the media in Kano where he was arrested.
Gen. Shuwa was murdered in his residence in Maiduguri, Borno State, by a suspected Boko Haram member on November 2, 2012.
The deceased also led the Nigerian Army 1 Division during the civil war.
