Former Minister of Sports and Youth Development Damishi Sango has emerged as the chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau State.
The congress was held at Treasure Inn, Rayfield, Jos.
He polled 758 votes to defeat the ex-member representing Jos South/Jos East in the House of Representatives, Bitrus Kaze, who scored 222 votes.
Among the special delegates were former Deputy Senate President Ibrahim Nasiru Mantu, ex-Governor Jonah Jang, Senator Jeremiah Useni, among others.
The election was peaceful, free, fair and credible.
