Suspected wife-killer Lekan Shonde will be charged to court today following conclusion of investigation, police chief Fatai Owoseni said it yesterday
He will be docked before an Ebute-Meta Magistrates’ Court.
Although the proposed charge against him could not be confirmed, The Nation gathered that the police have established a prima facie case against him.
Also yesterday, the bereaved family refused to comment on the autopsy, which stated that Ronke Shonde died of “respiratory seizure.”
“Please, I do not want to comment on anything. We do not want to talk about it. We have not fixed burial date yet. Please, respect my decision. I am not going to talk,” she said.
Owoseni refused to give details about Shonde’s impending arraignment, saying: “”When you come to court tomorrow, you will know the charges against him. I will not tell you anything about the autopsy because that information is for the court.”
