THE Department of State Service (DSS) in Osun State yesterday met some Christian leaders over the festering crisis occasioned by wearing of Hijab and church robes by students in public schools.
At the meeting held in the office of the state DSS Director, Mr. Ike Madagwana, was Police Commissioner Femi Olanipekun.
Also at the parley were representatives of the state government, including the immediate past Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Sunday Akere; former Commissioner for Justice anda Attorney General Wale Afolabi; the representatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and other security agencies.
The Commissioner of Police told reporters that there was “a peaceful meeting” between the Christian body and the security agencies in the state to restore peace between the Christians and Muslims.
According to him, the Christian body was urged to live in harmony with Muslims.
He added that such a meeting will soon hold with Muslims.
