MA-KING DROPS KWAJIM

BUDDING music act, Ikechukwu John Raphael, better known as Ma-King, has said that he is out to heat up the entertainment space. He made the statement on the release of his latest single, Kwajim.

“I am so excited right now. My song Kwajim is making waves. Kwajim means vibration in Igbo. It was produced by Playchord. The response has been overwhelming since its release and I want to thank all my fans out there,” Ma-King told Entertainer.

Born April 7, 1987 in Enugu, the indigene of Anambra State started singing at the age of 19 miming in school competitions and clubs. He was part of  a group called Hot Boys but later left and  joined a group called Dog Zone after which he clinched the award for Best Rapper in 2000 during a music competition that involved over 15 secondary schools in his community .

In the nearest future, Ma-king says his dream is to win awards like the Grammys and the Bet Awards. He says his major influences are P Square, Tuface and Rick Ross. Others are Oliver de Coque and Osita Osadebe.

On how he gets inspiration Ma-King says: “I get my inspiration from God and my environment. I thank God that my entire family especially my mum has been very supportive. If there is one thing I would like to change in the industry, it is the issue of nudity. One of my greatest challenges has e funding but God has been good. ”

He has done music with the likes of Terry G, Butiza, Flavour, Zikora, and Rock9 among others.
