Shittu Lawal has expressed excitement as he closes in on making his debut for Wikki Tourist, after joining from Giwa.
The defender made the Bauchi Elephants’ match day squad that secured a point against Warri Wolves at the Warri City stadium on Sunday, but was an unused substitute.
“I moved to Wikki Tourist after Giwa FC was expelled from the NPFL and since then I’ve been training with the team. It excites me as I may debut for Wikki Tourist any moment from now because I made the 18 man list against Warri Wolves,” Lawal told Goal.
“I’m glad that I’ve moved to Wikki Tourist and one of the main reasons why I joined them is the hunger for success, the team’s desire to lift the NPFL trophy is very strong and you can see it in the eyes of the players.”
