Austin Igudia claims the mood in the Akwa United camp is high heading into their Nigeria Professional Football League clash with title-chasing Enugu Rangers.
“Talk is cheap, action speaks louder than voice. Everyone will see it after the match,” Igudia told Goal.
“We are still doing fine in the Federation Cup and still at a touching distance to the top as we are only seven points adrift from Wikki Tourist and Enugu Rangers. We shall continue with that form. I can’t say that we are in a blistering 100% form but our present form is much better than the previous matches we’ve played this season.
“As for we the players, every one of us are riding high in confidence and player for player in both teams, I’ll say we have an edge perhaps 50-50.”
The Promise Keepers edged past Sunshine Stars 7-6 on penalties after the game produced a goalless draw after 90 minutes in the Federation Cup on Wednesday.
