I’ll fulfill Keshi’s dreams-Okoku

Ex-international, Paul Okoku has pledged to fulfill the desire of the late Super Eagles Coach, Stephen Keshi to help the less-privileged in the society.

Okoku stated in a chat with the Sportinglife that having been friends with Keshi for 40 years not many people knew that Keshi had a passion for helping the downtrodden in the society.

“For me personally, I will  continue to use my foundation, the Greater Tomorrow philanthropic organisation  to campaign for what he cared mostly about which is the less-

privilege children in the society.

One of his priorities was to ensure that children involved in the Nyanya bomb blast which happened in Abuja two years ago bomb blast never lacked. That is one aspect of Keshi people don’t talk about.”

In the same vein, Okoku wondered aloud why the government presence was not felt at the burial of the late Keshi.

He said: “For me personally, honestly I was expecting more elaborate burial. From my perspective the way it was talked about all the things they said they were going to do, what happened?

Okoku added that he was indeed glad to have been able to witness Keshi’s last days on earth: “I am glad I was able to witness his last days he will always be on my mind. We had fun together. He was a loyal friend, How many people can boast of enjoying a friendship that spanned 40 years.”?
