Budding artiste, Biodun Savage, better known as DiReal, is ready to take the Nigerian musical scene by storm. The Afro hip-pop act is determined to make an impact in the seemingly saturated music scene, judging by the impact he is already making with his singles, entitled ‘Oro Isiri’ and ;Dowry’ on two popular radio stations Wazobia and Rhythm FM.
Recently, he came out with another hit, ‘Wa lo Sise’ (Go and Work). The song has been rated as one of the best reality Afro Hip –hop song in recent time.
In his determined effort to make a mark, the 1992 graduate of Physics and Electronics from the University of Lagos gave up a career in banking to concentrate on his musical career.
He said: “Music has never been in my plan. It just came less than a year ago through divine inspiration, and within a few months, I started writing and producing songs that are gaining wide acceptability. Right now on the internet, a lot of people are already downloading my songs and asking me to keep dishing out more.
The ex-banker says he is now searching for a good label to launch him out as he possess massive talent to keep producing more music in the Afro Hip-Up, R & B and gospel genres.
“I want to use the platform to pass a message to our youths to address the level of immorality and decadence in the country. And I am doing this through the language they will understand, which is Hip-Hop. “
