Group drums support for poor residents

There is need for residents of Lagos Mainland to live in harmony and help the needy, the General Coordinator of the Mainland Independent Group(MIG), Alhaji Ibrahim Megida, has said.

Alhaji Megida gave this advice at a public lecture organised by the group after the Eid-el-Kabir prayers at its secretariat in Alagomeji area of Lagos to sensitise people on the importance of assisting the poor.

He also praised former Lagos State governor Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu “for his patience and doggedness to ensure the growth of democracy in Nigeria.”

It equally praised Tinubu for all the risks he took to help enthrone the current democratic dispensation in Nigeria.”

The forum, which was facilitated by the patron of the group, Mr Tunji Bello, the Secretary to the Lagos State Government (SSG), was attended by Hon Rasheed Shabi  (LASEPA General Manager), a member of House of Representatives, Hon Jide Jimoh,), MIG’s chairman, Mr Kayode Aransiola among others.
