Erstwhile Executive Secretary, Ikorodu West Local Council Development Area, Hon Mulikat Oyefusi, has expressed appreciation to Lagos Governor Akinwunmi Ambode for constructing and inagurating new roads in Ikorodu.
She made the remarks during the official inagurating of two new roads by Ambode.
The roads Taiwo Molajo Street in Owutu and jediran/Shopitan Street Ipakodo, measuring 680 metres and 550 meters respectively, started while he was in office.
Informing that the roads were constructed by local contractors, she added they have provided employment opportunities in the area and development while reducing traffic congestion.
“These projects are just in a series of many to come, therefore I urge the residents to put into good use these roads.
“We have a governor that is doing all he can to make Lagos livable and what we can do as residents is to put into good use his good works.”
Represented by Hon Abiodun Tobun, representing Epe 1 constituency, Governor Ambode also enjoined royal fathers, traditional chiefs, community development associations, market women and other stakeholders to address menace of cultism, kidnapping, miscreants, vandalism and hoodlums by providing timely information to security agencies.
