Bar owner held for customer’s death

The police have arrested the owner of Tees Lounge at Ire-Akari Street, Isolo, for the murder for a customer.

It was gathered that a fight ensued among customers at the bar  last week.

The deceased whose name could not be ascertained, was said to have been stabbed with a broken bottle on the chest and abandoned in his pool of blood.

It was gathered that the customer, who stabbed him, fled.

The deceased, it was gathered, was found by an anti-crime patrol team attached to the Isolo Police Division. The team rushed him to the hospital.

He was said to have been confirmed dead on arrival, and his body was moved to the Mainland Hospital Mortuary.

The command’s spokesperson, Dolapo Badmos, a Superintendent of Police (SP), said the bar owner was being interrogated.

She said: “The owner of the bar is being interrogated at the command. He denied the fracas happened within his bar but the police are investigating to unravel what actually transpired.”
