Abia State Police Command has paraded two suspected electricity vandals and eight others for allegedly involving in crimes, Police Commissioner Oyebade Adeleye has said.
He said it had zero tolerance for crimes.
Addressing reporters in Aba, Adeleye said the suspects were arrested for car theft, robbery, diversion of goods, among others.
Items recovered from them include a generator, cars and money.
The police boss, who said the suspects would be arraigned after investigation, attributed the success to intelligence gathering, tip-off by the public and stop-and-search at checkpoints.
He assured residents and visitors of safety, and warned criminals to leave the state.
Speaking on the re-branding of a vigilance group at Ogbor Hill, Aba, Adeleye said it was part of strategy to promote community policing and ensure security.
