Cleric challenges Nigerians on solutions to nation’s woes

The Founder of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Canaanland Worldwide, Prophet Hezekiah Oladeji, has advised Nigerians to plug avenues of waste and embark on productive ventures for the country to have breakthrough.

Prophet Oladeji, who said getting the country out of its current predicament required the collective effort of all Nigerians – politicians, bureaucrats, clerics, professionals, artisans, teachers, students, traders and the masses, also called for concerted prayers from all.

The cleric spoke during a programme to herald the yearly one-day Men of Purpose prayer meeting with the theme: “Man of Destiny” organised by his church in conjunction with Mountain of Mercy, Erio Ekiti holding on today at Erio Ekiti.

Oladeji said the prayer meeting would once again provide an avenue for clerics and  men to intercede for Nigeria for God to intervene in its affairs and restore the country’s prosperity.

The cleric, who said it was God who had been sustaining Nigeria out of His love for the country, said: “God loves Nigeria and answers the prayers of His people. What we need to do as a nation is to return to God in prayers, fasting and dedication; that is when He can answer our prayers.

“God will pass through Nigeria. All the nation’s problems – recession and disturbances – will become history and life will be made meaningful to the people once again. All these trials the country is passing through is just for a season,” the cleric said.

He, however, advised that Nigeria – the governments and people – should return to agriculture as means of economic revival, saying God deliberately endowed the country with arable and fertile land, good climate and vast natural resources as source of strength.
